So, as it stands, I am satisfied with the work they did and I appreciated their willingness to make sure the invoice reflected accurately the work that was done.

The company got in touch with me and expressed a desire to address my concerns. The person I spoke to seemed sincere in saying that they care about their customers' satisfaction. We talked a few minutes about the situation and I was offered a correction on labor costs.

2. The fifteen minutes, if not more, was in fact due to his own miscalculations (yes, it happens, but I don't think I should be paying for it)

I have used Hill and Hill several times in the last 5 or 6 years and they have alway done an outstanding job. They have done everything from installation to service both at my residence and at my place of business!! I would highly recommend them !! Fast service, competitive pricing and clean knowledgeable professionals.

I hired this company to unhook an existing faulty garage heater and install a new heater that I had purchased. The first guy shows up on the job takes one look and says that they did not tell him accurately what type of job this was going to be so he would have to go back, get materials and a helper. I got charged for this. A couple of days later he an a helper came back and spend five hours doing the following; uncoupling the black pipe from the existing heater, attaching a new five foot piece of pipe to the existing feed in the garage, mounting two terrible looking channel irons to my ceiling in the corner to support the heater, hanging the heater from the supports, cutting a four inch hole in the sidewall of the garage and hooking about four feet or less of exhaust vent to the heater through the wall and outside, caulking the hole( they failed to use collars) and splicing about 8 feet of thermostat wire to existing wire(where it was splice it is just a bid wad of tape wrapped around the splice and mounting the thermostat to the wall. For this I was billed; $45.00 service call, $345.76 materials, $1,190 labor. Total 1,580.76. Previous to hiring them I had a quote of $1,500 for this job and that included the heater, but I could not use them due to their waiting list being so long. I would not hire Hill and Hill in the future unless I had a firm quote and could not get anyone else to do the work.

Cliff from Hill & Hill came out to fix a long list of plumbing issues today, and I could not have been more pleased with his service. He was friendly, showed me what the issue was with each problem, explained how he'd fix it, and chatted with me as he worked. He even went outside to give attention to our dog, who was going nuts knowing there was someone in our house that she hadn't met. I would highly recommend Hill & Hill - especially Cliff!

The plumber was very nice, and he certainly seemed to know what he was doing. He was courteous and professional. However, I was less than satisfied once it was all said and done.

Normal Illinois

So, I'm not going to call them again, but if you decide to, be careful.

3. He did not put the ceiling tiles back in place, and given that I paid for a full 3 hours, that was something that I think should have been done.

Hill and Hill did a good job on multiple things at my house from plumbing issues to my furnace not working they fixed them both with competitive pricing. I highly recommend. Very easy to work with and got the jobs done promptly.

I'm not a particularly handy person and when I had to put one of the tiles back on, it fell and broke (it's made out of this plastic stuff I am not sure what it's called, but they do break fairly easily). So, I had to go and buy a new one ($20, 45 minutes of my time), cut it the right length and install it. Yet, I am not faulting them for this part, but I think that one should keep in mind that if the plumber had put everything back in its place, none of this would have happened. For that, I do hold them accountable.

*****EDIT 11/22/2015*****

1. The work was completed no more than two hours and fifteen minutes after his arrival.

P.S.: 3.5% credit card service charge? HA!

Currently they're located at #9 Westport Ct. Unit A, Bloomington, IL 61704.

The point is I was charged an extra $100.00 for no good reason.
