Richard was great. Took the time to show me exactly the problem and solution, how everything worked and why services needed to be done. He was very considerate of my time, preparing steps of the process around tasks we had to wait on others for, so by the time the water was shut off his pieces were ready to go. He was also a great advocate on my behalf when I had issue with the city water department employee not finishing their half of a task. The team went above and beyond the requirements for the job and made sure I wasn't left without water access overnight. I know exactly who I'm recommending whenever someone asks about a plumbing issue!
I'm honestly surprised by all the good reviews, and wish I would have had the same kind of service. The way the owner talks down to people is horrific!! Or maybe he just talks to women the way he spoke to me. Did not take my concerns serious, and I was interrupted many times. Also told issues with our AC were fixed when I tried explaining that they weren't. We had some issues going on with our house that sill never got fixed, and each time he came out he kept telling us we should be lucky that he isn't charging us again... even though it wasn't fixed correctly the 1st time. On the last appointment we had set up they called to say they would be late, and then just never showed up.. Didn't return our phone calls that night, and then called us several times the next day wanting to come right then. However, we where both at work now; the previous day when we had our appointment my husband had taken off work. They ended up coming out after my husband got off work, and they replaced the thermostat. However, they tried to say it wasn't covered under our warranty, but it was. We had all the paperwork proving that it was covered. Every time I talked to the owner on the phone I was given so much BS that I couldn't even stand it, and finally had to tell him that he would be dealing with just my husband from now on. I couldn't stand the way he talked to me. A few days later after the thermostat was replaced our AC completely stopped working. Called the home warranty company explained what had been going on, and they were so sorry about what had happened. They called another company here in Bloomington who was in and out of my house in 30 min with our AC issue completely fixed. The home warranty company felt so bad that they paid for the new companies Diagnostic fee. I would just suggest calling around to other companies when looking for repairs... You can tell who the good ones are in town by how the phone is answered.
Great company. I needed a new water heater and worked together with Richard who was great throughout the whole process. He professionally addressed all my questions/concerns. They had it all taken care of within 2 days (install, new gas plumbing, removal, disposal). Both the water heater and work performed is of high quality. Highly recommended.
I called four or five plumbers on a Friday afternoon to come help me with my kitchen sink project. Not many were available or wanted to have me pay overtime for their service. D and R plumbing was available and said that they could come out which they did within a few hours and was able to take out my old faucet and also was able to put in the new faucet in no time. Father and son were very friendly and were very professional. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.
I'm rating D & R plumbing 5 stars and would rate 6 stars if it were an option. Let me start by saying my initial call was answered past 10:00 p.m. which I found extremely impressive. Richard was at my house at 7:00 a.m. the following day to help me address the leak we found going into our basement. Richard found time in his schedule to be able to complete the repair that day. He was completely professional, courteous and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Oh, and the most important part is that the rates are very reasonable. Also, I don't have to worry about the repairs failing because of how thorough he was. I even learned some valuable Self-Help skills to help troubleshoot small problems in the future. Thank you again Richard for all the help! We will not hesitate one bit to send friends and family to D & R.
