I battle an anxiety disorder with general dentist "stuff" being a fairly big trigger (for example, simply taking my children to see their dentist triggers my anxiety). My last appointment (prior to the one at this practice) was probably about 3 to 5 years ago, and not a good experience. I chose Swanlund Dentistry due to their ability for sedation since I knew I had several dental problems including cavities and broken teeth. My first appointment at this office was simply looking to see what further treatment I would need. Dr. Sarah, and her hygienist, were absolutely amazing! They were both very patient and kind, and made small talk with me to try to help take my mind off the appointment itself. Both of them asked me more than once during the appointment if I was doing okay! Though I still have anxiety about my future procedure(s), I no longer feel anxious about seeing Dr. Sarah!
I have been a patient of Dr. Swanlund for 25 years and every step of the experience had been fulfilling. It takes trust and respect on both sides of the relationship, to allow anyone to probe into one's mouth for dental procedures. The doctors and staff have always exhibited a very high standard of care and plans for my future dental health. I am very pleased with the dental care and human connection we have cultivated over the years.
Terry, Sarah and their team of hygienist do an excellent job and if you're looking for Invisalign Treatment you should definitely call and set up an appointment with Carrie. After I finished my invisalign treatment I received a promotion at work. So as you can see it pays for itself!
The tools that were used on me smelt as if they were not clean... The dentist also worked on another patient then came and worked on me. The mask was not changed and had the other patients blood on it and who know what other type of debris it had. It also felt as if the nurse started a small hole on my front teeth near my gums when she was scraping it.... You should double check your sanitation... I don't plan on ever coming back here after these horrible experiences. I was also given 2 diseases by a doctor who intentionally used dirty tools.... Wish I had proof...
