Processing in and out is easy. The good folks there are always willing to help. Great service ... especially for a small airport!
We were on our way to Waukegan, IL to attend our son's graduation from Navy Boot Camp. We were flying when our flight was cancelled (that day) and now we had to figure out how we getting to Chicago. After a couple of shifts back and forth - we ended up in Bloomington, IL. That is a 2 1/2 hr drive to our final destination. National was awesome in making last minute changes - allowing us to rent a a vehicle in Bloomington for our drive to Waukegan. Then on Saturday, when my son was to depart - his flight was cancelled until Monday. Again, we had to alter our plans and National was awesome in assisting us with that last minute change as well. ...I do want to mention that all of this was done on their app site - and I did not have to speak to a live person. That is pretty awesome in my book. Thank you National!!!!
The staff are always friendly. However, the last 2 times that I have rented from the Bloomington airport location, the full size car selection has not been available and I ended up with a compact car with very few features. I would like to see a better inventory of car selection.
I always rent through National when I travel and never seem to be disappointed. I wish I could say the same for my last trip. I originally booked a premium sedan (Nissan or like) but found out that I would be having family with me and need the space so I asked for an SUV I looked over to see a Buick and asked for it. The young lady behind the counter told me it needed cleaned so I said I'll wait. When I got into it it looked like all that was cleaned were the carpets, the interior windows had dried splash marks, smudges in the center console and dash and the car had not been washed since its recent road trip. After waiting for the car to be cleaned and needed to meet someone I didnt have time to wait. The next day I took it to the local car wash to get it cleaned up. I don't leave reviews to be negative or to get someone in trouble but rather to help seek opportunities.
