Spoke to a gentlemen on the phone about getting my windows tinted there, and he told me that the lowest they would go is 5%. So I make and appointment and I go in. When I go in some guy said that I could only go 35% or high. I was stunned, i get that the legal limit is 35% but when you tell me you will go 5% im going to hold you to it. I personally won't be back to Ziebart and I will not recommend them to anyone. Not to mention they are way over priced.
I called different tint places in Champaign and Peoria, both said no problem, bring it in! Plus it’s $75 cheaper! Do not go to Ziebarts! This is facts whatever owner has to respond to this is his own opinion.
Bottom line do what customer requests period, regardless of what your opinion or law says.
I called this morning to get quote for my tinting on my wife’s new car. I asked the guy over the phone what the quote would be, he said $329 which is pretty high. I had my suburban (which is way bigger than regular sedan) tinted in St Louis for $275. Asked what % they offered he said 5, 20, or 35%. Then he said they they only do 35% because that’s Illinois law, which I knew that already. I said yes I’m perfectly aware of that and more than happy to take on the risk by choosing 5%. He said sorry we can’t do that, I said why? My suburban has 5% on it? He said that’s impossible. I said “uh no it’s not because I paid for it and I chose 5% so I know that for fact”. I said so you won’t take this job, and I don’t know why you even care if I get fined at end of day you make money so why do you care? He said that they will get fined too....never heard of cops fining tint places...

These guys are always so nice and professional when I go there. The prices they offer for the services they provide are good. But what puts them over the top in quality is their courtesy shuttle that they provide when you drop off your car. It has saved me from having to call a cab making the value built in to Ziebart second to none.
