I tried almost all places in city to get a decent cake pastry, but they are all full of junk sugary frosting, I had hopes that this being cakes only place will be using good frosting like rich's but was disappointed.
Don't go in there if you are hungry because you will walk out with something that will raise your blood sugar! Nice place and friendly staff who makes some awesome baked goods.
Absolutely the best decorated cakes in town! My wife ordered a cake from Janet's to celebrate one of my personal milestone events. It was not a typical event and they worked with her for an original design. The execution was flawless. Their icing isn't as overly sweet as your typical buttercream icing and the cake was flavorful and delicious of its own right. I have ordered cakes from Janet's in the past and have always had an excellent experience.
I WILL NEVER EVER USE JANET'S AGAIN!!! WE PLACED OUR ORDER AROUND LATE FEB FOR PICK UP NOT TILL AUGUST 5. WELL TODAY AFTER MY MOTHER IN LAW TRIED TO PICK UP OUR CUPCAKES THEY WERE NOT READY THEY HAVE NOT EVEN STARTED ON THEM AND THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO BE DONE BY THEN.. AFTER THE CONFUSING WAS SORTED OUT THEY SAID THEY HAD MISPLACED THE ORDER IN THE WRONG DAY.. THEY MADE ME CHOSE A DIFFERENT CAKE BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE THE ONE WE HAD ORDERED READY.. SO AFTER THAT THEY SAID 30 MINS THEY WOULD BE READY.. SHE THEN WENT SIX BLOCKS WITH THE AIR ON FULL BLAST TO SHOW US THE CAKE AND CUP CAKES AND THEY WERE HORRIBLE THEY HAD PUT THE FROSTING ON A HOT CUPCAKE AND IT WAS MELTING AND THE CAKES WERE STICKING TOGETHER AND WHEN YOU TRIED TO PULL THEM AWAY FROM EACH OTHER THEY JUST FELL APART. WE CALLED THE STORE AND COMPLAINED THE LADY SIMPLY BLAMED US.. THE ONLY THING THEY GAVE US BACK WAS LITERALLY FIVE DOLLAR FOR NOT HAVING IT READY ON TIME... I WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE THIS PLACE ONE STAR IF I COULD.
