Nice spacious park with large shelter and charcoal grill for use. Various recreational equipment for children. Ball diamonds and 2 batting cages. Also nice size fenced in dog park. The park, like those all over in Bloomington and Normal are very well kept up. Thanks to the park and recreation departments.
Great area for dogs to run and play in a fenced environment. Small dogs can be separated from large. Water provided for both areas in warm seasons. Highly recommended.
Nice Park, but owners do need to learn to clean up after their dogs. Their is generally a trail of poo down the sidewalk as well as both sides to tread carefully. Lots of landmines inside the fence as well. While there are 2 sides to the park inevitably owners with small timid dogs will bring them to the big dog side where they are run over by the other dogs. You wouldn't put a toddler in with bunch of 8 year olds, don't do it with your dogs either. It's not a good experience for anyone. Most owners are pretty responsible and understand how dogs play but the area is not really big enough for a lot of dogs at one time so time your visit right and you will have a good experience, time it wrong and you will probably leave disappointed or angry.
Good place to bring the dog and get out some energy.
