The one in Normal is never opened as it says it's hours are because of the front desk lady who's kids are always ill. I understand and care for this woman and her kids but what Joe's Towing should do is find someone to cover if she needs to leave rather than closing the entire company and making others travel to the one far away in Bloomington just to get a guest pass for the weekend. It's beyond me that a company decides to close because an employee needs to leave for family matters instead of finding someone else to cover the shift. Awful customer service if you ask me. This town needs a new towing company because of their unreliability and lack of common sense.
“Open 24 hours” to get there and have no one be there. Post office hours at least as it is misleading.
What has happened to this business. They drove on to my property (a private lot not a driveway) hooked up my vehicle and was getting ready to go. Luckily I caught It through the window. Running outside in my shower towel I stopped the driver who said some guy named Charlie called a tow for a Ford from this address. I asked what address, who was Charlie, where was his tow order with Vin and license plate. Tow driver didn't have or know anything. After letting loose on him for trespassing, theft and damage to vehicle he finally stipulated it was a mistake he had the wrong car. He then wouldn't wait for police dropped my ford (which is mine). Quickly getting out of dodge while driving onto my lawn. Thank God for video. They can just drive up and take what they want. Oops mistake. I'm sure if I hadn't caught him I would have been charged or not seen my vehicle for days. They also didn't seem to care they made me late for work. Filing a claim with the Illinois Commerce Commision, BBC, and police. They violated several laws and procedures. Any driver towing must have a copy of a tow order with the info or have the driver present. Not my mistake driver couldn't find the right car down the street that need to go to the shop for repair.
Jerry was extremely flexible with our destination request when he really could have refused. Thanks
Tow truck driver went above and beyond to help us poor out of town souls find someone to look at our car on a Sunday, great service decent price
