Fast service for buying new bike
First things first. The bike shop itself is very nice looking. The second I walked in the door I was greeted which was a very nice touch (seems most places have forgotten about that aspect of business). I'm new to the bike world so the staff was more then willing to teach me the ropes and made sure I found the right bike for me. My salesman Ryan was very honest and knowledgeable and that was greatly appreciated. I also loved the fact there is a trail right next to the shop. So you can test ride different bikes. Which was a VERY hassle free process. The purchasing process was just as easy and hassle free. At the end of it. Ryan also offered to put the bike in the car for me and did a final check to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Which I was. I definitely recommend this place! And will be back soon to purchase another bike!
I never disagreed with Scott (I asked him if he could do service on my bike which he said no to and I accepted) and I was fine with being told he couldn’t work on my bike because of liability but the first time he stated that is when he stopped speaking to me and yelled across the store that I needed to leave as if I was no longer there. At no point from when I walked in was he explaining things nicely to me. I really believe that you know his customer service skills were lacking in that exchange.
I went in to get my bike serviced and was greeted with "Are you sure you want to put money into this bike" it is an old bike and I understood that comment. However, I explained I was going to purchase a new frame in the future and could use new parts on my current frame to swap them at another time. The owner did not let his first sentiment rest, he eventually yelled to his someone across the shop "Could you ask this gentleman to leave since we cannot work on his bike" as I was standing directly in front of him, also he was speaking to me for 10 min prior to this. It was condescending to say the least. I left and purchased parts from another store and replaced them myself. I gathered the owner did not want to spend the time on my bike, it felt as if the he was being elitist since I had an old worn bike he must have felt he was in the right to be rude and disrespectful to me. I won’t be going back there.
Cons.
Not a huge selection of bikes.
I have found the staff helpful and knowlegeable. I have taken several friends here and they all bought bikes and are very satisfied.
Great customer service! I'm new to the sport of cycling and they made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The staff was honest and genuine. I will be continuing to shop with them in the future and would suggest them to any newcomer in the future. Thank you very much guys!
Pros
Enjoyed interacting with the staff at the store. I was greeted and assisted promptly. However, the work on the bikes was sub standard. I had two adult Trek (Hybrid) bike in the repair shop for a tune up. The bikes were stored for the winter. Prior to storage, both bikes were functioning properly. Both bike were returned with the seats re-adjusted (to the lowest setting) and neither of the bike front derailleur would function on all three settings.
